Description:

Pennsylvania Counseling Services (PCS) hired Sims Architects to renovate the old Harold’s Furniture store (Lebanon, Pa) into counseling offices. The front façade was restored to its original appearance after the old 1970’s metal panels were removed. Upon entering a secure lobby area, clients can access individual counselling offices or group rooms.

Description:

When Sims Architects was formed in 2003, it moved to its current location (Manheim Township, Lancaster, Pa). In 2007 the office was renovated to include new finishes and furniture. The renovations were designed such that if relocation to a larger facility occurs, many of the items can be removed and relocated.  Attention to detail is always important and certainly evident with this project. The custom signage in the entry is made of 3/8 inch thick polished stainless steel.


Wingate Hotel

Description:

Wingate hotels, part of the Wyndham group of hotels,  have strict design guidelines that must be followed in order to make consistent branding. Sims Architects worked with the owner, contractor and corporate project managers to design a three story hotel that met all Wyndham standards. The 70 room hotel is located on Route 30 in Lancaster, PA and consists of a variety of room options including handicap accessible rooms and rooms with hot tubs.


Avondale Presbyterian Church

Description:

Avondale Presbyterian Church (Avondale, Pa) had waited for more than ten years to see the vision of a substantial addition added to their existing church which was constructed in the late 1800's. The new 15,000 s.f. addition contains four classrooms, a new and larger nursery and toddler area, a designated youth fellowship area, a larger fellowship hall that can be used for indoor recreational activities. Sims Architects teamed with the contractor to develop an economical addition that was within the churches budget.


Gurba Towers

Description:

Sims Architects was retained to develop conceptual plans and elevations for a proposed office building conversion in the city of Lancaster, Pa. Several floors plans were developed for potential clients and renderings were created to show a new  facade that would make the building a key landmark structure in the city. The "before" and "after" photos showing a remarkable difference in what the building has the potential to become as a "class A" office building.
